Privacy Policy

My Important Stuff is provided by Kosmos Operational Design (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app or contact us.

Information you store in the app

My Important Stuff lets you organize information about your belongings, including item descriptions, serial numbers, categories, locations, purchase information, warranty and registration details, notes and service records, photos, receipts, and documents.

You choose what to enter or attach. The app stores this information locally on your device. Kosmos Operational Design does not automatically receive or have remote access to your inventory.

The app does not require an account.

How the app uses your information

Your information is used on your device to provide the features you request, such as organizing and searching records, displaying attachments, and creating reports and exports. The app also stores preferences, including category and location lists and export settings.

The current version does not include advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or AI processing. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.

Locations entered in your inventory are labels you provide, such as “Garage” or “Office.” The app does not request your device’s GPS location.

Camera, photos, and files

The app requests camera permission when you choose to take a photo of an item or receipt. You can change this permission in your device’s Settings.

You can also select photos or files using Apple’s system selection tools. The app receives the content you choose to import; it does not request unrestricted access to your photo library.

Files selected from iCloud Drive or another storage provider may be downloaded by that provider. Those services handle information under their own privacy policies.

Backups

The current version does not provide app-managed cloud storage or automatic inventory syncing between devices.

Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in an iCloud device backup or a backup made using a computer. These backups are managed through Apple’s tools and your settings, not by Kosmos Operational Design. We cannot access or restore them for you.

CSV and PDF exports are reports, not complete backups of the app.

Sharing and exports

Information leaves the app when you choose to export or share it—for example, by saving a report to a cloud-storage service, sending a receipt by email, or sharing a photo.

The content included depends on the feature and selections you use. Review reports and attachments before sharing them. Receipts and documents may contain addresses, payment information, or other personal details.

Once shared, copies are handled by the recipients and services you select under their own practices and privacy policies. Deleting the original record from My Important Stuff does not delete those copies.

Retention and deletion

Records remain in the app until you delete them or remove the app’s data. You can delete items and individual attachments using the app’s controls. Deleting an item also removes its associated records and attachments from the app’s saved inventory.

Deleting an imported attachment does not delete its original from Photos, Files, or another storage provider.

Deleting the app using iOS’s Delete App option removes its local app data. Offloading the app is different and can retain its data.

Copies may remain in device backups, exported files, or recipients’ storage. Manage those copies separately through the relevant service or device settings. The app may also create temporary files to preview or share content; these are subject to app and operating-system cleanup.

Because we do not hold your locally stored inventory, we cannot retrieve, edit, or delete it remotely.

Support and privacy inquiries

If you contact ImportantStuff@kosmosod.com, we receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to send.

We use this information to respond to your request, troubleshoot reported problems, and maintain relevant support records. Our email provider processes these communications to deliver and store them.

We retain correspondence only as reasonably needed to handle the inquiry, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations. You may contact us to request deletion of correspondence, subject to applicable retention requirements.

Please avoid sending sensitive receipts, documents, or inventory details unless they are needed to explain your issue.

Security

The app uses iOS’s application storage protections. Protect your device with a passcode, keep its software updated, and take care when sharing files or choosing backup destinations.

No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You control the information entered into the app, camera permission, and what you export or share.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights concerning personal information we hold, such as support correspondence. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion, or to ask a privacy question.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or our information-handling practices change. The updated policy will show a revised effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before introducing new uses of personal information.
